karma
I feel as though i've been putting all my little karma coins into some great cosmic karma slot machine and no matter how many times i pull the lever...i never win...just keep losing...over and over and over....

Consolidating...
i am slowly becoming a bit of a minimalist...i can now fit all of my close in one chest of drawers, all of my books on one shelf(i keep only the best) all my dvd's in one case and NO MORE CD'S! one picture album spanning my almost 25 years, a new hairstyle that only takes 2.5 minutes to style and allows for 5 minutes showers (2 min if i'm really in a hurry) and extreme shorthand in all written communication.
so, i thot that i would incorporated my online life into that as well and reduce all cyber-communication to one specific site... AHHHH (that would be a big sigh of relief) i can feel my head clearing a bit already.
anywho, the new year has been excesivley interesting so far and i look forward to being able to share the rest of it with you all...those of you who still bother to look at this blog seeing as how i am a massive failure at keeping it up...

winter
its finally getting cold...
the trees have already lost their fall colors, most are now bare. the snow everyone has promised has yet to appear but its friend Freezing Rain has arrived. Coloradans are pulling out their parkas and winterizing their cars...no one seems too be phased by the approaching winter weather, they take it in stride.
we, however, are beginning to feel the pressure of making sure we are ready for the winter weather we know nothing about. The newer cars are doing fine in the cold...but my older vehicle is struggling to start...may have to bike my way to work...could be cold.
Along with the cold comes the holiday season...good for business but not good for my ulcer. Starbucks is trying its darnedest to bring better service to its customers, revamp its focus on health and safety issues, try out bigger, better drinks and merchandise and all the while raise the average ticket sale. Like i said, good for business but so much more work for me. I have to make sure the store is up to health and safety standards, that the partners on my shift are the EPITOME of customer service(cheerleaders really) and that they are completely knowledgeable of all products within the store AND that every shift i run is smooth, graceful, legendary. *sigh*
winter does bring a bit of fun with it...i can't wait to hit the slopes! i don't care if i'm on skis, a board, a sled, a tube or my backside...i'm going to get down a snowy mountain at least once this season. If it didn't cost so much i'd be gone every weekend...but alas...this is impossible...
but there are snowball fights and snowy walks to look forward too...hot chocolate by the fire...pumpkin pie and pilgrims. twinkle lights and Christmas carols. good will toward men? we'll see about that last one.
hopefully, i will soon have a few digital memoirs to post of my winter excapdes...
